1、HOW TO GET HAPPINESS
There is no doubt that happiness is the most precious thing in the world. Without it, life will be empty and meaningless. If you wish to know how to get happiness, you must pay attention to the following two points.
First, health is the secret of happiness (the key to happiness). Only a strong man can enjoy the pleasure of life.
Secondly, happiness consists in contentment. A man who is dissatisfied with his present condition is always in distress.
As is well known, books teach us to learn life, truth, science and many other useful things. They increase our knowledge, broaden our minds and strengthen our character. In other words, they are our good teachers and wise friends. This is the reason why our parents always encourage us to read more books.
Reading is a good thing, but we must pay great attention to the choice of books. It is true that we can derive benefits from good books. However, bad books will do us more harm than good.
3、THE VALUE OF TIME 爱惜时光
An English proverb says that time is money. I consider it (this) wrong. Why? Because we all know that we can earn money be work but can not in any way get back time (in anyway). For this reason, we may (can) say that time is more valuable than money.
Many people do not know the value of time. It (this) is indeed a great pity. We must bear (keep) in mind that wasting time is equal to wasting your life.
4、HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY
There is an English proverb which says (saying) “Honesty is the best policy.” It signifies the importance of honesty.
What are the benefits of honesty? If you are honest to others, they will be honest to you in return. When you are sad, they will comfort you. When you are in trouble, they will help you.
There is no enumerating the evils of dishonesty here. In a word, a dishonest man will be looked down upon by others and (be) regarded as a public enemy.
5、INDUSTRY (DILIGENCE)
It is a matter of course that instry will bring us success, wealth and good luck. I am sure that a hard-working person can always succeed in the work which he wants to do. This is unchangeable truth.
Idleness is the opposite of instry. It is the source of all evil. An idle man only enjoys playing and making pleasures. That he is doomed to failure is of no doubt. We should not follow his example.

1、Hello, everyone. Now I am very glad to tell you that I have become a senior high school student. Our campus is very beautiful, but my dream school is more perfect and special.
The dream school looks like a park. There are many beautiful flowers and green trees. After class or meals, students can walk, read or have a rest in the park. And the school library has many interesting and helpful books, and students can borrow them at any time.
I think the most important thing is that the teachers are humorous, friendly and learned so that the students will be interested in every subject. The teachers should give the students more encouragement.
If it is possible, I hope our school will become my dream school. And the students' lives will be better and better.

He tried to shoo(嘘嘘的赶) it away, but it began to bark at him. Just at that moment, he saw a stone on the ground. He tried to pick it up, but he couldn't.
" How strange these Russians are! " Mr Evans said to himself, "They do not tie up their dogs, but firmly(牢牢地)tie down the stones!"

When the chickens arrived the next day, they were put in a box. Mary was very happy. She took the box off the truck and began to carry it into her garden, but the box of chickens was so heavy that she dropped it.
The box fell on the ground and broke. The chickens all ran out. They ran here and there. Mary spent hours in trying to find them.
A few days later her uncle came. He asked, “Did the chickens arrive safely?” “Yes, but I dropped the box. It broke open and chickens ran everywhere. It took me the whole morning to look for them.” Mary said.
“ Did you find them all?” asked her uncle. “ I hope so.” Mary answered. “but I only caught eleven of them.”
“ That’s very interesting. I only sent you six.” Her uncle said with a smile.

My father is watching TV and my mother is taking care of my little sister.” The man rang the doorbell but no one answered the door. “Are they sleeping?” the man said to himself. The man tried again, but still no one answered. Then the man turned around and said to David, “You bad boy. You lied (说谎) to me! Your parents aren’t at home.” “I never lie,” said David. “This is not my house!”
