American Red Cross was founded in 1881. Congress recognized the organization in 1990 by giving it an official charter. The document established how the Red Cross should operate and what its work should include.

“十字”本身的意思是十字架，意表主耶稣为了爱人，拯救人类而甘愿受苦被定在十字架上。（看过"耶稣受难记吧")
不仅红十字，其实美国的很多很多非牟利机构的结构都是松散的，但都行之有效。因为大家都是为了“施比受有福”的信念，为了他们的信仰。
美国是个很可爱的国家。
