Secondly our country's financial system is comparatively fragile. First, the extensive non-performing assets still exists. The data that the People's Bank of China announces reveal, according to criteria for classification of five grades, four passed average non-performing assets rate with indivial proprietorship bank and was up to 26.1% at the end of 2002. Second, the capital of state-run bank is insufficient. Third, the profit level of financial institution is relatively low. Until non-performing loan proportion high, credit funds turnover slow and interest rate of recovery low causing benefit underground and poor-performed of our country financial institution.
Fourth, the capital market is still not complete, analyse on situation at present, it is still quite obvious that I pass the institutional defect of the capital market, display the system environment proced on the capital market specifically, government behavior, capital function of the market twist, capital market foundation stone firm, capital market surpervision person who do one's best respect of capital market.
Fifth, the financial supervision means lags behind. Our country's present financial supervision level can't totally respond to the request that the banking, securities business, insurance have run and developed continuously steadily and surely yet, on the whole, the financial supervision foundation is worse, the means lags behind, the cost is higher, the result is not fully up to expectations.
