英语whereas和however区别是：
1）whereas 的转折强度要弱一些，例如：
Some of the studies show positive results, whereas others do not. 有一些研究结果令人满意，然而其他的则不然。
2） however 的转折强度要强，直接否定。例如：
However, he underestimates the scale of the problem. 然而，他却低估了问题的严重性。

用法不同。

1、however表转折关系，语气稍弱于but，连接性也弱一些，因而常作插入语。

2、whereas表对比，一般可与while互换。

例句：

Some people like coffee, whereas others like tea.
有人喜欢咖啡,然而也有人喜欢茶。

His children are well bred, whereas those of his sister's are naughty.
他的孩子很有教养，但他姐姐的孩子却调皮得很。
