there be 结构中be动词既有“数”的变化，也有“时”的变化。be动词作谓语时，其用法可参考下表。

there be结构的用法

1. There is a book on the desk.

2. There are two pencils and a pen in Tony's pencilbox.

注意:therebe结构中的“就近原则”。be动词变化取决于离它最近的名词，如上句中be动词距离two pencils要近，则用are。下句中be动词距离a pen近，则用is。

3. There was no gym in my school ten years ago.

4.There were two old buildings in the yard.

5. There will be/is going to be a movie this evening.

be一般现在时is/are，一般过去时was/were，一般将来时will be，过去将来would be，完成时have/had been。

There be句型讲究的是就近原则。
如果后面的名词是单数，be就用单数(is)
如果后面的名词是复数be就用复数(are)
还要考虑时态
过去式就用was/were
