英语:为什么这句话逗号后面不是句子

首先要清楚一个句子只能出现一个谓语动词。如果句子改成这样Many strange new means of transport have been developed in our centry, the strangest of them [is] the hovercraft
这样是不行的如果要改有两种改法改正确
1、就是在第二个句子前加and
2、把is 改成being 表示这是个非谓语动词不会影响到一个句子的原则

1.完整的句子是：Many strange new means of transport have been developed in our centry, and the strangest of them is the hovercraft.
2.两个句子之间我们知道是需要用连词连接的。一旦连词去掉了，我们可以选择将句子变成独立主格结构-名词(代词)+现在分词、过去分词。
