maybe 和 may be 这两个区别是 may be 已经包含了一个动词了，这个句子里就不需要其他动词了， maybe 有时候可以做一个名词来说 it is a maybe。
perhaps 和 maybe 的区别， 前者看上去比较正式，后者存在于口语中，和日常信息里。
两个虽然都是也许，但是前者更注重于表达出你对结果的不确定，后者虽然是也许，但是是对一个结果的确定回答。这在中文里很难解释清楚这种感觉。
example：can i have an ice cream? maybe. “maybe”is a definite answer to this question, just as definite as "maybe" can be.
can you work this out? perhaps. "perhaps" is used when you really wanna focus on expressing uncertainty about an undertaking or outcome, and more often used in response to a possibility rather than a request.
