I think it's in common with VrayDisplacement
ah so maybe I am doing somthing right and dont even know it.
I have VRay Displ in my scene. Learning IS fun but sometimes i wander around in the dark. Thanks
its actually just vrays way of saying 'Hey! i'm dividing your scene up into cubes of polygons so that i can sort them faster while shooting rays'
Usually crashing right after static accel. is memory related
- What is your rendering output?? (Think Vray max is somethin like 30000px)
- Is there displacement.. if yes, turn it off an see if it goes
- Try the material override, if it has to do with your materials, you'll see.
- Is there anything raythace in there ( mat. or light )
- Open new blank scene and merge everything, so if it is scene related, you'll get rid of it. (well, mabee)

很简单的问题,你使用的某些模型采用了MAX的反射材质,所以会出现这一步。
如果全部场景都用Vray材质,根本不会出现这个步骤。
如果一定要使用MAX反射材质,这个步骤超级消耗内存,XP32位所能使用的1.9G内存就显得很紧张,所以很慢。
加大内存,换用64位操作系统和64位MAX可以解决。
但是我不认为有什么必要一定要用MAX发射材质。
