剧情介绍
蒂姆·艾弗瑞(杰米·肯尼迪饰)是一个具有远大抱负的漫画家，他与妻子唐娅(泰勒·霍华德饰)住在一个卡通味十足的小房子里。唐娅十分想要一个孩子，但是一心想要事业成功的蒂姆却认为操之过急。一天晚上，蒂姆在去公司举办的万圣节派对的路上发现了一个面具，戴上之后的他完全变了一个人，具有了神奇的魔力和无法自控的疯狂。在舞会上，所有人都被他的“装扮”所吸引，而他那些怪异的举动在一帮动画师眼里看来也是绝对正常的，在场的人都认为他在试图创造一个新的卡通角色。老板则立即下放权利，让他去独自创作。当回到家后，妻子躺在床上，也许是因为他一直压抑的感情被面具释放出来，或者是他还在为刚刚的奇迹而兴奋不已，此时的他极其想要一个孩子……
九个月后，孩子艾维出生了，并且具有变相怪杰的超能力。这立即引起了“恶作剧之神”洛基(即面具的主人，艾伦·卡明饰)的注意，他的父亲——独眼的奥丁神(罗伯·哈斯金斯饰)命他将面具夺回来，所以洛基开始查询所有在那天出生的孩子。因为如果惹毛了父亲的话，那后果就无法想像了。
此时，蒂姆也在找面具，因为他的狗狗把面具给藏了起来。蒂姆不知道为何他的孩子具有如此超强的能力，他只想尽快找到面具，来完成老板要求的卡通人物的创作。此时洛基离他们越来越近，唐娅也因商务出差离开了小镇，只留下蒂姆扮演全职父亲的角色。当艾维已能渐渐掌握这股超能力时，洛基也终于找到了这家人。
