The difference between 'input' and 'import' is very big whatsoever, despite the reading and the looks of it looks similar in comparison; 'input' means to 'put in', usually used to describe when typing something in on a computer. 'import' is the opposite of 'export', which basically meaning 'bring something in'. This word is usually used for bigger things, such as shipping things into the country.
