In our technologically advanced society, new medicine and medical advancements are cropping up in the medical field every day. Breakthroughs are more than common, but ironically, the price of health care has not decreased, but is still mounting through the years. Pharmaceutical companies are still trying to squeeze the maximum profits out of the public. Because of the mounting medical cost, many people cannot afford it and are forced to put their health at risk. Many patients are afflicted with chronic disease that create a lifelong dependency on drugs, and their families are plagued by higher and higher bills from medical cost. To ultimately solve this flaw in health care, the cost has to be lowered to an affordable level.
