APEC is now hosted by Beijing, and the air quality issue is again put onto the agenda. Air quality is an issue long time dogging human beings as the urbanization accelerated. On one hand the industrial pollution is increasingly pumping the dust, smoke, and invisible chemicals into the atmosphere. On theother hand, human consumption to the forestry raw materials caused vast areas of plantations to be destroyed, which took away the natural filter of the air pollutants.This summit conference is a good occasion for a global effort to counter the situation, and create a sustainable environment for us and for the generations that follow.
