as和take place不等同。首先二者词性不同as作连词，副词，介词，take place是动词性短语。其次意义不同，as指“如同，按照”，而take place是“发生，就位”的意思。

take place

意思是：发生，举行，产生，就座

例：

The fete will take place on Sunday, rain or shine.

游园义卖会定于星期日举行，风雨无阻。

当它表示“发生”时，可与 happen 或occur换用，但其后面一般不接 to sb．／sth．结构；

指必然会发生的事情时，多用 take place；此外take place 还可表示“举行某种活动”。

2、如同;例如
