Dolphin（海豚） is my favourite animal. It is one of the most precious animals. Their bodies are very long, about one zhang（丈）. Dolphins live in the sea. They live on fish, shrimps and so on.Dolphins are very friendly and peaceful. They never attack people. Instead, they have saved many people in danger in the past years. How helpful the dolphins are! Dolphins are very clever. People often train them so that they can give a dolphin show which brings people a lot of happiness and joy.
Unluckily, the number of dolphins is getting smaller and smaller. Because of water pollution, there is less and less space for dolphins. Many people make money by hunting dolphins. If we don’t protect them, maybe we’ll lose our good friends one day. As a student, I hope more and more people should take actions to protect dolphins .

海狮是海洋中的食肉类猛兽。海狮的食物来源于海上,主要以鱼类和乌贼等头足类为食.海狮身体粗壮，食量大得很,最高可以潜入270米的海底。在人工饲养下，一头海狮一天要吃四十公斤的鱼。一条三斤多重的大鱼，它可以一口吞下。在自然条件下，海狮的活动量大增，它们的食量还会增加2~3倍。海狮不但食量大，而且胆子也不小。它敢于在鱼网中钻来钻去，抢夺渔民的收获。然后撕坏渔网逃之夭夭。因此，在渔民眼中，海狮成了过街老鼠，人人喊打。由于人们的大量捕杀，海狮的数量在不断下降。目前，有些国家已经提出保护海狮的倡议。在我国海狮属于的鳍足目的动物被列为国家二级保护动物。 海狮在地球上分布广泛。种类较多。目前，人们已知的海狮有十四种。它们大致可分为两类：一类个头较大，体披稀疏刚毛，没有或极少绒毛，共5种，如北海狮和南海狮；另一类个头较小，身上既有刚毛，又有厚而密的绒毛，共9种，如生活在北太平洋的海狗。因为它们吼声如狮，有的种类雄性颈部的长毛也像狮子，所以总称为海狮类。

海狮，哺乳纲，鳍足目，海狮科。四肢呈鳍状，后肢能转向前方以支持身体；有耳壳；尾甚短；体被粗毛，细毛稀少。雄的体长2．5—3．25米，随种类而异；雌的较小。生活在海洋中，以鱼、乌贼及贝类等为食。繁殖时期到海岛上产仔。主要有北海狮，分布于北太平洋；南海狮，亦称黑海狮，主要分布于美国西北部沿海；南美海狮，分布于南美洲沿海；灰海狮，分布于澳大利亚西南部沿海。
海狮具有和其它的哺乳类动物一样具有用肺呼吸、胎生和恒温等特征。海狮吼声如狮，且个别种颈*有鬃毛，又颇像狮子，因而有“海中狮王”之称。它的四脚像鳍，很适于在水中游泳。海狮的后脚能向前弯曲，使它既能在陆地上灵活行走，又能像狗那样蹲在地上。而海豹的后肢却是恒向后伸，不能朝前弯曲，故不能在陆地上步行。虽然海狮有时上陆，但海洋才是它真正的家，只有在海里它才能捕到食物、避开敌人，因此一年中的大部分时间，它们都在海上巡游觅食。
