the Mean Absolute Deviation is AVEDEV(num1

...). The numbers (num1

...) inside are the numbers (or values ) that you want to do the Mean (or average) of the absolute deviation. EG: you want to calculate the Mean Absolute Deviation of numbers: -1

all you need to type inside the EXCEL is: =AVEDEV(-1

2) After you press ENTER
you will see the Mean Absolute Deviation value. For more details
you can take a look at the help menu of EXCEL
type in AVEDEV.
