unique意思有：
1、作形容词时译为“独特的，稀罕的；唯一的，独一无二的”；unique没有比较级，最高级的用法，只能用一些quite, almost, nearly, really之类的词修饰。
2、作名词时译为“独一无二的人或物”。对于unique来说，用more，very，somewhat等词来说是毫无意义的，但是人们习惯上还是如此使用。uniqueness只有是与不是的区分，而no unique thing则是就另一独特的事物而言，多或少一点独特的程度。
