Ending of The Shawshank Redemption The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favorite film, it is a great movie and focuses on the themes of hope, freedom, friendship and inte- grity. I like the end of this movie, which is a happy ending--redemption. At the end of this film, Norton, the evil warden was revealed and get the e punishment--suicide, Red get the chance of parole until imprison- ed for 40 years, and Andy escape from prison by acrossing the tunnel dig- ged for 19 years surreptitiously and becomes a rich man lately. To ours e- xpectation, Red and Andy meet again in a small and beautify town called Zihuatanejo at the final scene of this movie, which deeply impressed me, it is so harmonious that Andy was repairing his boat at the coast edge, Red was walking to Andy happily. I can smell the freedom and happiness intensely when I watching this scene. The ending of The Shawshank Redemption proved that: hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies, what Andy write to Red. Besides this, I’m also get an inspiration that we sh- ould be an optimistic person and just do our best and insisted no matter what other people say and think.
