Firstly , air pollution, which has a bad effect on the environment, comes from factories, power stations and cars. Lots of factories take pollution to world . for example, In 1984 there was a serious accident at a factory in India and a cloud of dangerous gas covered the town of Bhopal. Over 2,500 animals were killed that night,Hundreds of thousands of animals were injured. Many of them injured lost their sight. Next, Chemicals in the smoke from power stations cause a lot of damage. They can travel hundreds of miles in the wind before falling to the ground as rain. Nevertheless this “chemical rain” graally destroys trees in the forests and kills fish in lakes. In Germany, over 50% of the country's trees had been damaged by the year 1986. Last, Cars are a convenient transportation, but they also cause serious problems. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases, in turn, cause disease and even death. Therefore, it is urgent that the problems be solved.

Water pollution is a major problem in the global context. It has been suggested that it is the leading worldwide cause of deaths and diseases,[1][2] and that it accounts for the deaths of more than 14,000 people daily.[2] In addition to the acute problems of water pollution in developing countries, instrialized countries continue to struggle with pollution problems as well. In the most recent national report on water quality in the United States, 45 percent of assessed stream miles, 47 percent of assessed lake acres, and 32 percent of assessed bay and estuarine square miles were classified as polluted.[3]
Water is typically referred to as polluted when it is impaired by anthropogenic contaminants and either does not support a human use, like serving as drinking water, or undergoes a marked shift in its ability to support its constituent biotic communities, such as fish. Natural phenomena such as volcanoes, algae blooms, storms, and earthquakes also cause major changes in water quality and the ecological status of water. Water pollution has many causes and characteristics.
