Generally speaking, there are three main endorsements, namely special, blank, and restrictive.
1. Restrictive Endorsement.
A restrictive endorsement is one which limits the bill for further negotiation, such as "pay...only" or "Pay...non-transfer".
2. Demonstrative Endorsement.
A demonstrative endorsement is one which specifies the person to whom, or to whose order, the bill is to be payable, such as "Pay...or to order of".
3. Blank Endorsement.
It's one which specifies no payee.
